What is a Health Coach?
A health coach creates a supportive, positive environment that enables clients to articulate and achieve their goals. Through the use of effective coaching strategies, a heath coach helps their clients feel their best through individualized food and lifestyle changes that meet their unique needs and health goals.
An Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC) studies the most cutting-edge dietary theories and highly effective coaching techniques to help clients find the right lifestyle that works best for them. Integrative Nutrition Health Coaches focus on bio-individuality – the idea that we’re all different and have unique dietary, lifestyle, emotional, and physical needs. - Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
Why Do Health + Fitness Coaching?
Health + Fitness Coaching Sessions provide encouragement and accountability for clients. This increases their success at achieving their health and wellness goals. At Ambrianna Sherif Health, we emphasize Holistic Healing and finding a sustainable balance between mental, emotional and physical health.
" Most approaches to healthy living focus on physical health and appearance which can result in body image issues, restricted and fearful eating. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and labelling food 'good' and 'bad', I encourage and educate my clients to explore nutrient-dense whole foods they personally enjoy! I provide nutrition education and promote healthy living with a balanced view.
In addition to being an Integrative Nutritionist and Certified Holistic Health Coach Practitioner, I have furthered my education into Women's Health, Nutrition, and Behavioural Psychology to be able to offer counsel and support clients through balancing hormones, navigating cravings and food fears; as well as mental health challenges and emotional instability.
I have completed certifications in Personal Training and Exercise Science to have a deeper understanding of metabolism, bioenergetics, and muscle development to help clients understand how the body utilizes the food we eat to perform at our best. I believe in using an evidence-based approach to personal training to minimize injury and maximize each workout to see optimal results!
It is my goal to help each client to have a healthy relationship with food and their body through holistic healing. I coach my clients to make basic improvements, behaviour adjustments, and to implement gradual mindset shifts during our work together. As these pieces come together, my clients find these changes collectively create a much larger impact than they originally anticipated. We work on establishing realistic healthy habits that works within the circumstances of their unique situation and allows them to reach their goals. "
